COMPANY BACKGROUND:

PETIKEMAS Transport Co.Ltd is a company form by two country,MALAYSIA and THAILAND in the year 2011.The Managing Director of the company is Abdullah Bin Mahmud.The company have many branch through out Malaysia and every state play a specific roles.

PETIKEMAS offer a variety of services such as cross boarder logistics,customclearance,freightforwarding,trucking,warehouse, and storage depot.

PETIKEMAS is considered as an Integrated Service Provider(ISP),which provide services like transportation and warehouse. 

PETIKEMAS also has qualified personnel,expertise and equipment such as "GPS Track and Trace System","Container depot management system","Temperature sensitive control and Cold chain trucking solution" and many more to meet with their customer demand and enhance their first-hand information to their valued customer.

Our Visitation to the Company Warehouse

PETIKEMAS have many branches in Malaysia , for the state of Pasir Gudang,Johor Bahru the main service provides by Petikemas is Warehousing. there are 3 warehouse in Pasir Gudang Nikel 1&2, Harimas and the one that we visit is THE KELULI WAREHOUSE.

The Keluli Warehouse is located at Plot 530 Jalan Keluli 3 Kawasan Perindustrian Pasir Gudang and the space is about 11000 metrics ton, The only customer  for The Keluli Warehouse is Barry Callebaut, the product hold in the warehouse are in a variety form of chocolate.

The Function Board purpose is to state and keep check of everything that occur in the warehouse such as the number of torn bag, maintenance requirement, quality control , number of safety accidents and number of problem occurs in the warehouse either long or short period to solve the  problem .

Inside The Keluli Warehouse products are divided into two area which is zone department and racking department.The product in the zone department are place on ground level by using a forklift while racking department the product are arrange on specific shelf using a lift truck by stacker.

This video shows how a stacker uses a lift truck to move the product. The employee that handle lift truck are provided with neck insurance due to the worker have to constantly look up to carefully handle the product. Besides that, their company also provide with annual trip for their employee.

On the left side is the racking department while at the right side is the zone department. The different between the two department is because of the product number capacity and stability of the product.

Thermograph function is to monitor the humidity and temperature of the warehouse. And will alert the supervisor in charge via wifi connection if any changes occur in the temperature of the warehouse.

The PETIKEMAS warehouse uses mouse trap and flies trapper to manage their pests control. To ensure safety and quality of their customer product. To reduce the number of damage goods and loss for the company.

Loading Bay is an area in the warehouse where goods are loaded and unloaded from trucking vehicles. Each truck have specific order of quantity and destination depending on the customer order.

• Uses fork lift and lift truck to move product from zone and racking to loading bay area

• Temperature sensitive control warehouse

On 11 August 2017,our group which consists 4 members who are ALIF HAKIMI,ADAM ISKANDAR,MUHAMMAD ANAS and IRFAN ADLY visited to one of the PETIKEMAS Warehouse which is THE KELULI WAREHOUSE,located at Pasir Gudang.

Thank to Encik Rozaini bin Mustafa,Executive of THE KELULI WAREHOUSE and Encik Mohd Radhi bin Abd Aziz,Supervisor in charge of THE KELULI WAREHOUSE,for accepting us and showing us the supply chain flow in the warehouse.
